# Somos Hermanos, full profile > Somos Hermanos is a Salvadoran foundation, the social arm (brazo social) of Tacos Hermanos. Every Sunday it delivers help baskets to children who need them in the Sonsonate area of El Salvador. Founded in 2021. ## Story Somos Hermanos was born more than five years ago from a simple belief: that small actions, repeated every Sunday, can change the course of a child's life. It is the social arm of Tacos Hermanos, the Salvadoran taco restaurant group, and shares the same philosophy that "good things are meant to be shared" and that the world is a better place when we treat each other as brothers. The foundation was launched publicly in April 2026, after years of quietly delivering baskets in the Sonsonate area. Its guiding verse is 1 John 4:21: "Whoever loves God must also love their brother." The foundation is clear that none of its work would be possible without the help of God and without each person who chooses to share with those who need it most. ## What we do Every Sunday of the year, Somos Hermanos delivers food help baskets (canastas de ayuda) to children in the Sonsonate area of El Salvador. Each basket contains food, and very often a handwritten letter written by a donor for a child. The foundation works hand in hand with the Sunday Bible School (Escuela Biblica Dominical) of Iglesia Bitinia, whose team knows the families and helps make sure each basket reaches the right hands. ## How to take part 1. Buy a help basket (or as many as you like) at any Tacos Hermanos restaurant in El Salvador. 2. Write a message to the children. That letter is delivered together with your basket, and many children keep it as their favorite part. 3. Your basket is delivered that same Sunday.
